The following page consists of SOME of the arts programs organized by citizens in the Town of Swan River.

Community Band

The Swan Valley Community Band has been performing since the fall of 1994. Julie Kooistra -conductor, DJ Oakesmunro - co-conductor, and Gwynn Ketel - co-conductor lead thirty members of the community, from students to adults. The group performs two annual concerts, one at Christmas and another in the spring.

School of Dance

The Swan River School of Dance offers instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, and creative movement for all people ages 4+. The instructions run from September to March each year with a final recital to end the year.

Swan Valley Hoedowners Modern Square Dance Club

The Swan Valley Hoedowners Modern Square Dance Club is open to anyone who's willing to try! The Club meets every Wednesday evening between October and April. The Club offers a wonderful opportunity to meet people as well as to stay fit, with the average evening of dancing equivalent to travelling 5 miles!
