Kids' Clubs
4-H Clubs
The 4-H Clubs in Swan River give kids an opportunity to do things like take photos, grow plants, groom and show an animal, tie-dye T-shirts, fix a small engine, build a birdhouse, bake bread, sew clothing, ride a horse, canoe, go to camp, make a speech and be a leader. And that's just for starters!
Through projects, tours, rallies, bonspiels, camps, conferences, travel opportunities and working with other kids their own age, there's lots of room for fun and learning for the kids involved!
Confidence and skill is gained through opportunities in public speaking. This is encouraged at club level and members have opportunities to compete at district, regional and provincial levels as well.
4-H is a great way of making friends in your club, community, and country. In 4-H members "learn to do by doing" and they will make friends and learn skills that will last a lifetime. In the Swan River Valley, there are 186 members and 71 leaders in the 9 clubs available.
