Northwest Round-Up and Exhibition
The Swan River Valley Northwest Round-up and Exhibition is held annually on the last weekend of July.
The Round-up begins with a monster
parade on Friday morning. The Chamber of Commerce and the Swan Valley Agricultural Society sponsor the parade.Throughout the three-day event there are many entertainment options. The festivities include pony chuckwagon and chariot races, bull riding, calf roping, and arts & crafts displays. The weekend also includes musical entertainment by popular artists, free stage talent contests, pancake breakfasts, an arena dance featuring a live band, and beer gardens. A main attraction is the popular motorized mid-way.
There are six grandstand rodeo performances, one each afternoon and evening. The afternoon shows are complete with rodeo acts, bareback broncs, calf roping, team roping, bull riding, saddle broncs, steer wrestling, barrel racing and mutton busting. The evening shows feature pony chuckwagon races and chariot races.
The Northwest Round-up and Exhibition is a one pay gate affair, so come and enjoy the famous show!
