Recycling and Garbage
Paper - includes: newspaper, magazines, phone books, bond paper, calendars, catalogues & books. Place paper separately in securely tied shopping bags. No I foil lined containers or paper that has been wet or wrapped around food.

Glass Containers - includes: bottles & jars. Remove lids & caps. No broken glass, windows, light bulbs, drinking glasses or mugs. Take lids off and recycle.

Aluminum - includes: pie plates, foil, beer cans, pop and juice cans. Please keep separate from tin.

Cardboard - Please remove all packing materials & plastic wrap, pack smaller boxes inside larger ones.

Box Board - includes: cereal & cracker boxes (remove inner bag), brown paper bags, paper egg cartons, milk containers & paper towel rolls. No foil lined containers.

Plastic - includes: pop bottles, milk jugs, javex jugs, margarine, sour cream, yogurt & tobacco containers, ketchup & salad dressing bottles, ice cream pails & lids. Take lids off and recycle.

Tin Cans - Remove labels, leave lids attached. No paint cans or aerosol spray cans.

Recycling containers have a recycling symbol with an identification number located on the bottom of the container. Valley Lions Recycling Inc. accepts the following symbols:

1 - Pete: pop bottles, dish soap bottles.
2 - HDPE: milk and javex jugs.
4 - LDPE: Plastic containers lids.
5 - PP: Yogurt, sour cream, and tobacco containers.
7 - Other: Ketchup bottles.
* Please flatten items if necessary.
* Please thoroughly rinse out all items.
* Please do not give us your excess plastic bags
* We do not accept: Styrofoam trays, broken glass, light bulbs, drinking cups or glasses.
* PLEASE HAVE YOUR RECYCLING BLUE BOXES SET OUT BY 8:00 A.M.

2005 GARBAGE CALENDAR
Garbage is collected every Monday except in the case or a holiday, then it is collected the next day.
Please place garbage out for collection by 8:00 a.m.

MINITONAS WASTE DISPOSAL GROUNDS
Please separate the following waste in the appropriate areas:

HOUSEHOLD W ASTE: (Deposit in Trench)

DRY GARBAGE: Wood, Limbs, Cardboard, Leaves, etc. (Combustible)

RUBBLE: Stone, Bricks, etc. (place on Rubble pile)

SHINGLES: (Place on Shingle pile)

METAL: Appliances*, etc. (Place on Metal pile)

TIRES: (Place on Tire pile)

CHEMICAL PAILS: (Place on Chemical Compound)

OTHER

*Appliances manufactured with Freon Gas (ie. Refrigerators and Deep Freezers) may not be deposited in the Waste Disposal Grounds until the Town is provided with a certificate signed by a Licensed Refrigeration Technician certifying that all Freon Gas has been removed from the appliance.
